Three Places to See in West Palm Beach, FL

West Palm Beach, a city in Palm Beach County boasts some of Florida’s most beautiful beaches. I’d like to refer to West Palm Beach as a transitory city to other South Florida hotspots. West Palm Beach is a 45-minute drive away from Fort Lauderdale, an hour and a half away from Miami and two hours away from Key Largo. Here are three places you should see when in West Palm Beach.

CityPlace

CityPlace is the go-to spot when it’s the weekend and you’re in the mood to go out. This scenic outdoor complex, often considered West Palm Beach’s premiere attraction has a variety of restaurants and shops. There’s Anthropologie, Paper Source, Sephora and Lucky Brand, to name a few. As for dining, CityPlace offers a wide selection including The Cheesecake Factory, City Pizza, IL Bellagio and Mojito Latin Cuisine and Bar. There’s also the Muvico movie theater and events throughout the year at CityPlace. You can utilize the free trolley service to get around CityPlace, Clematis Street and other areas in Downtown West Palm Beach.

Clematis Street and Downtown West Palm Beach

Clematis Street, lined with historic architecture, restaurants, bars and boutiques is located in Downtown West Palm Beach.  It begins at Flagler Drive on the Intracoastal Waterway. If you’re looking for a kid-friendly activity, visit Centennial Square and Fountain Park. It’s a small area where kids often like to play, running through the fountain.

Lake Worth, FL

I also recommend visiting downtown Lake Worth, which isn’t in West Palm Beach but a 15-minute drive away from West Palm Beach. The eclectic downtown area is home to boutiques, galleries and the beach of course. I’ve only been to the beach part, not the casino part :).

Of course, I took time out to snap some pics.
