Four Places to Visit in Tampa

Downtown Tampa

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I absolutely adore Florida. I’ve frequented cities such as Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville. Then, there’s Tampa, the somewhat low-key city, which offers fun outdoor activities and breathtaking views of recreational spaces. Sure, there’s Busch Gardens, Tampa’s renowned theme park but here are some other places worthy of your time in the Sunshine state.

    2.  (Outdoor Festivities Downtown, along Riverwalk)

It’s warm pretty much all year round in Tampa. Imagine always having some fun, outdoorsy event to go to such as Riverfest, with lovely views of the city.

    3. Kojaks House of Ribs

Okay, let me be clear that I’m not a barbecue fanatic. However, Kojaks came in highly recommended while I was in Tampa and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I’ll admit, I was not disappointed at all! The service was quick and the food was delicious! I ordered the “Bar-B-Que Chicken dinner” with macaroni salad and parsley potatoes (I know I know, two carbs). I ended up adding green beans to my order later. The house made sangria was quite refreshing. For the meat eaters, I hear the ribs are also delectable! Kojaks is located on West Gandy Blvd in South Tampa.

    4. Davis Islands

If your last name is Davis, I jokingly say we own an Island in Tampa 😉 Enjoy the scenic waterfront views, restaurants, picturesque homes and condominiums, all within close proximity to Downtown Tampa.
